And you, who were dead in
your trespasses and the
uncircumcision of your flesh,
God made alive together with
him, having forgiven us all our
trespasses, by canceling the
record of debt that stood against
us with its legal demands. This he
set aside, nailing it to the cross.
> Colossians 2:13 + 14

what is the gospel?

The word gospel means good news, which is the good news of God’s grace invading the darkness of this world. The Bible is centered on Jesus and His flawless life, substitutionary death, and his glorious resurrection from the grave.

Jesus blamelessly took our place on the cross, laying down His life for our sins. Due to our sin and rebellion against Him, we all stand guilty before God and deserve His justice and wrath; however, the cross of Jesus stands as our only defense, which satisfies the demands and appeases the wrath of a Holy God. The ultimate tapestry of love is painted by Jesus as His amazing grace is revealed through the cross. There is no other name by which you can be saved nor is there any work of your own that could ever satisfy God the Father. Only through the perfect work of Jesus on the cross and His glorious resurrection from the grave can we find forgiveness, peace, and redemption.

This gospel is central, therefore we desire to keep the gospel central in all we do as the people of God.
