Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry.
Before coming to Calvary as Senior Pastor, Josh Wredberg served as an assistant pastor at churches in Michigan and North Carolina and teaching pastor at a thriving church plant outside Raleigh, North Carolina. He is a graduate of Maranatha Baptist Bible College and Shepherds Theological Seminary. Josh is currently working on a doctorate in preaching at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Cari, have 3 boys, Jack, Max and Caed.
Jerry has been attending Calvary since 2004. He joined the team in September of 2010 and is serving as the Administrative Pastor. He graduated from Liberty University in 1980 majoring in Church Ministries. He and his wife Robbi love the opportunities that ministry provides.
Matt joined Calvary’s pastoral team in 2007. He got his degree in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute in 2006. Matt grew up in Normal and is a graduate of Calvary Christian Academy. He teaches guitar and plays drums. He has a passion for relational evangelism and discipleship.
In 2011, Isaac returned home to Illinois to serve as the music director for Calvary Baptist Church and Calvary Christian Academy. He attended Calvary Christian Academy for thirteen years and then received his degree in instrumental music education from Cedarville University in 2007. He enjoys working with musicians, worshiping the Lord with fellow believers, and spending time with people.
Mark and his family have attended Calvary since 2002. He grew up in the Central Illinois area. Mark is a graduate of Pensacola Christian College in 1988 with a BS degree in Accounting. He enjoys sports of all kinds. He and his wife, Amy, have 3 boys, Kyle, Karson, and Kasey.
Paula grew up on a dairy farm in south central Wisconsin. She graduated from Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa, receiving a Bible diploma with secretarial emphasis. Paula and her family came to Calvary in 1982. She worked in the kitchen of Calvary Christian Academy for 17 years before assuming her present position in the church business office. Paula enjoys flower gardening and spending time with her granddaughter.
Amy has attended Calvary for 38 years. She graduated from Calvary Christian Academy in 1986, and Illinois State University in 1995. Before coming on staff at Calvary in 2007, Amy worked at State Farm for 18 years. She loves her family and the opportunity to serve others.
Ralph Poland was born and raised in the Bloomington/Normal area. He graduated from BHS then joined the Navy where he spent three years. He married wife Teresa after getting out of the Navy. They have three children and three grandchildren. Ralph retired from Verizon after 30 years, and then became the maintenance director of Calvary.
